gf1Time to lighten things up! I went with a glitter french here. The base color is Essie Starter Wife, the silver tip is Zoya Trixie and the gold line is L.A. Colors Art Deco Gold Glitter. The pics were taking outside in the sunlight. I normailly wera darker colors, so it’s weird seeing my nails like this!

On another note, you can see I need some serious help with my cuticles. I found this cute shop on Etsy called CozyMoments. Besides some Body Butter, I also ordered some Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Balm. Hopefully it helps. I’ll write up a review and let you know!

Zoya Polishes Came In!

zoya4Yay! I got my Zoya polishes in from the twitter promo. I ordered Dovima matte, Loredana matte, and Trixie. I love the look of the mattes but man, they do not hold up well at all. I just did them yesterday and this morning the polish is completely off 4 of my nails and half off of two of them. Sadness, because I thought it looked really cute :(

I wanted to try to stamp Trixie on using Konad. I wasn’t sure it would work but I thought the look of a foil finish on top of the matte would look neeat. And it works great!  Trixie picked up easy from the Konad plate and went on the nails easily.

So here’s the look. Two coats of Zoya Dovima Matte. Konad plate m64 and Zoya Trixie. Click on the images if you wanna see the bigger pictures:

Fire flame nails

flame1I wanted something a little different, so I went with flame nails. They came out ok…some nails are better than others. I started with Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Black Creme. Then, using a small brush, I put some yellow flames on using Sally Hansen Insta-dri in Lightening. When the yellow flames dried, I went over them with Funky Fingers Electric Senset. Finally for the glitter I used L.A. Colors Art Deco in Gold Glitter only on the flames, and a little bit over them. I’ll have to prctice on how to make better looking flames, but not bad for my first try, eh?

This looked pretty good until I put the top coat on. :( The top coat smeared it. Sigh. Anyhoo, I used Funky Fingers in Screamin’ Fucshia and Konad Special Black with Konad plate m57
